SCOTTISH NORWICH PLAINHEAD CLUB (founded 1899)

 

 

 

 

This is the club show of the Scottish Norwich Plainhead Club. Honorary Secretaries, Mr and Mrs E. Adams, "Kirtledene", Kirtlebridge, Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire, DG11 3LR, Tel 01461 500250. Only paid up members can compete for the following specials.

All birds to be bred and moulted by the exhibitor and rung with the Club's closed ring, or a Midland Counties Plainhead Club ring. No bird having more than one ring allowed to compete for Club specials. All exhibits to be shown in the Clubs standard showcage with black open top drinker and standard spars. Only plain canary seed in bottom of cage.

Entry terms to be clearly marked 'SPC' against each bird competing for Club specials.

Entries that are not nominated 'SPC' wil not compete.

Judges for our club show are S. BELLAMY and W. MOUNSAY - January 2009.

 

 

All trophies are challenge trophies and cannot be won outright. Silver quaichs will be awarded to the best Champion and best Novice. These to be won outright.

 

1. The Warren Park Trophy presented by the Late Mr .J.E.Taylor for most points with three nominated birds, one old bird and two unflighted birds. Entry form to be marked 'WPT' in respect of birds nominated

 

2. £25 special to the winner of the Warren Park trophy

 

3. The Ernest H. Stockley Trophy for best unflighted bird.

 

4. £20 special to the winner of the Stockley trophy

 

5. Lisbeth Fleming Trophy for best opposite sex to E.H.S. trophy winner.

 

6. £5 special to the winner of the L. Fleming trophy

 

7. The J.C.Hutton Cup for best old bird

 

8. £10 special to the winner of the Hutton trophy.

 

9. The Kean Cup presented by the family of the late George E.Carle for the best unflighted bird exhibited by a member resident north of the border

 

10. £10 special to the winner of the Kean trophy

 

11. The W. Begbie Memorial Shield for the best unflighted novice exhibit.

 

12. £10 special to the winner of the Begbie trophy

 

13. The J.Reddin Memorial Shield for the best novice old bird

 

14. £ 10 special to the winner of the Reddin trophy

 

15. The Bob WylIie Cup presented by Mrs.Sheila Wyllie and family for the best Norwich Canary

16. £20 special to the winner of the Wyllie trophy

17. £10 special to the second best Norwich Canary

18. The Gaultier Cup for the best novice Norwich Canary

19. £ 10 special to the winner of the Gaultier trophy

20.The R.WyIlie Memorial Shield presented by Mr M. .Brown for the winner of the breeders produce stakes.
